TWS Return to Work Time Card Reference Guide
- Timecard due day/time and return instructions are noted on the bottom of the timecard. Please let us know right way if there are any issues with returning the timecard. Without a timecard, the employee cannot be paid. We suggest asking the participant to take full responsibility in making sure the time card is signed and returned to ensure they will be paid.
- The timecard should be kept on site at all times and filled in daily with accurate times and dates in order to provide actual and complete hours worked. If you should have any trouble calculating total time worked, you may refer to the website www.timecardcalculator.net for assistance.
- At the end of the work week, both the nonprofit supervisor and the participant need to sign and date the time card. These signatures and dates are required for processing.
- If the participant is absent on the due date, please go ahead and send the timecard without their signature. When the participant returns, please have them sign the original time card that was submitted and return to TWS again.
- All time not worked needs to be noted and explained on the time card. For medical and/or physical therapy appointments that occur during the work day, please note the appropriate times of departure and arrival in the DR/PT columns. A check mark or an “x” is acceptable in the “Reason for Absence” column.
- Please use the Comments/Notes box for any information that will help explain time missed and to provide any important progress reports. If participant is struggling with work, please provide of the task and difficulty in this box as well.
- Participant requests to change the agreed schedule or for vacation/personal days should be presented in advance to the TWS Coordinator for approval by the participant’s employer.
NOTE: If a participant is absent 2 days in a row or there are attendance/performance concerns, please call or email your TWS Coordinator. We will then follow-up with the employer.
HOLIDAYS: All Lear participants will follow the Lear Corporation holiday closure schedule. On those days the Lear plant is closed, the participant will not work in the light duty program.
