Assignment Job Duties>
Your job duties in connection with the transitional work program will consist of the following:

You will only be assigned tasks believed to be consistent with your medical restrictions related to your injury/illness*, any additional on-the-job training will be provided as needed.
Assignment Duration>
The transitional work assignment is temporary in nature and not intended to be an ongoing re-assignment. The assignment is currently anticipated to continue for the period identified above or until you have been released to full duty, maximum medical improvement, or approximately 42-84 calendar days, whichever comes first. If you have not returned to work within 84 calendar days of your starting the transitional work assignment described above, you may be placed on a leave of absence as available under Company policy or applicable law.
Timekeeping
You are to follow all normal work time keeping procedures outlined from your CSM and GE Appliances policies and procedures. In addition, a weekly timesheet will be prepared by the Organization Point of Contact and will be given to you each Friday to sign so it can be sent via email to your CSM and HRM. All work conducted on your assignment will be up to 40-hours/week and no exceptions will be given. You are expected to accurately record all hours worked in connection with any work for GE Appliances, including hours worked in connection with your transitional work assignment.
Employment and Company Policies
- During your assignment, you will remain a GE Appliances employee and will not become an employee of the Organization. Accordingly, you will remain subject to GE Appliances’ policies and procedures (including but not limited to those set forth in the GE Appliances Work Rules and Driver Safety & Truck Custody Agreements).
- Neither the transitional work assignment nor any representation in this letter (including the anticipated duration of the assignment) creates a guarantee of employment for any specific period of time.
- The terms and conditions of your GE Appliances employment (other than those set forth herein specific to the assignment) remain in effect.
- As an employee of GE Appliances, you should continue to use GE Appliances Ombudsmen process to raise any questions or concerns regarding your employment or workplace including any which may arise during or in connection with your transitional assignment. The process flow of any complaint includes your supervisor, next level manager(s), and Regional Human Resource Manager; as well as an Ombudsmen Hotline.
Work Schedule Expectations
As noted above, GE Appliances policies, including those pertaining to attendance and communication expectations, will continue to apply to your employment during the assignment. Any requests for changes to the above schedule should be discussed with the Organization Point of Contact listed above.

Accepting or Declining Offer
While it is our hope that you will take advantage of this temporary assignment, you are not required to do so. If you decline this temporary assignment offer, you will be entitled to continue to receive applicable medical benefits as otherwise provided in connection with your approved claim. However, you will not be entitled to continuation of lost time wage benefits. If you decline this job offer, or, if you elect not to sign and return this letter to GE Appliances, the Company will conclude that you have declined this temporary assignment offer and you will be placed on or remain on a leave of absence made available under Company policy or applicable law pending further review.
